Planning Process
The Planning Application for the West Wight Wind Farm together with the Environmental Impact Assessment was submitted to the Isle of Wight Council (IoWC) on 26 May 2006.
The adoption of the West Wight Wind Farm project as a "pilot project" under the new Office of the Deputy Prime-Minister (ODPM) scheme has helped to ensure that the submission meets the highest standards in terms of content and quality, whilst also setting a clear framework for how the application will be processed by the Council.

The closing date for the submission of comments is 21 July 2006.
Monday 25th September has been set as a preliminary date for a special Planning Meeting to determine the application.
