Consultation
Throughout the long development process for this project - over 5 years - we consulted widely with the public and with interested parties on aspects of the design of the wind farm. This took the form of formal scoping, comments and suggestions from statutory consultees, informal discussions and presentations to local people and a public exhibition on the proposals.
Taking all of the information and the results of the many studies and investigations, we finalised the design details of the wind farm. We now believe that we have a wind farm proposal that not only complies with all of the statutory regulations, but one which fits within the Island setting and which the Island will be proud to host.
As part of its own public consultation exercise, the IoWC held 3 public exhibitions in the area on the following dates.
Yarmouth Institute - Tuesday 20th June - 2pm to 7pm
Freshwater Memorial Hall - Wednesday 21st June 2 pm to 7pm
Wellow Literary Hall - Thursday 22nd June 2 pm to 7pm
